Maintenance requirements vary by model. The exact manual, recall remedy, and qualified repair guidance take priority over a generic schedule.
Routine inspection
- Check the stem, folding latch, handlebars, deck, fasteners, wheels, tires, controls, brake response, lights, and cables before riding.
- Stop riding after an impact, water exposure, new noise, loose control, brake change, exposed wiring, warning light, or damaged battery enclosure until the cause is resolved.
- Use only manufacturer-specified parts, batteries, and chargers. A connector that fits does not prove compatibility.
- Keep friction surfaces free of oil and follow the manual's torque, pressure, wear-limit, and service instructions.
Battery and storage
Follow the manufacturer for charging temperature, storage charge, inspection, and end-of-life handling. Be present while charging, never charge while sleeping, and do not place lithium batteries in household trash or general recycling.
Use the full safety and charging checklist before returning the scooter to service.
