Reviewed August 9, 2026. Amazon shopping and affiliate destinations are currently removed from ScooterScouter. Recovered pages may mention Amazon as historical text, but they do not link readers to Amazon.
Commercial links are paused
ScooterScouter is rebuilding its product coverage before adding new commerce links. No new Amazon link will be added unless the owner separately approves it and the current relationship, tracking, disclosures, and link policy are verified.
If paid links return later, each one will be identified close to the recommendation so readers can understand the relationship without searching for a separate policy page.
What compensation cannot change
- A brand or merchant cannot buy a score, rank, verdict, or removal of a drawback.
- A recall, certification problem, or safety veto blocks a recommendation regardless of commission.
- Research-only coverage does not become hands-on testing because a link earns money.
- Prices, stock, customer ratings, review counts, and product images are not manually copied from Amazon into evergreen pages.
How links are labeled
Commissionable links use a visible disclosure and the search-engine relationship attribute rel="sponsored", normally combined with nofollow, noopener, and noreferrer.
